PSG kit - Paris Saint-Germain Football Club , also known as Paris Saint-Germain or simply PSG is a club of French football, the city of Paris. The club was founded on August 12, 1970, head office is in Paris, France, the team's stadium is the Parc des Princes. PSG has won several titles like: European Cup Winners' Cup, UEFA Intertoto Cup International Champions Cup, Coupe de la Ligue among other titles.

The Paris Saint-Germain was founded on August 12, 1970 following an initiative of twenty thousand fans of football who wanted Paris had a great team. To begin this project was made a partnership with the Saint-Germain-en-Laye, which in 1970 went up to the French League II. In his rookie season, PSG won the championship of Division Two, so I up the French league. This team was playing Portuguese Fernando Cruz.

Early years of the PSG

In his first season in the I League (1971-72), the club was in 16th position in a season marked by infighting between amateur and professional players. These conflicts led to a split in the club in May 1972, between Saint-Germain and Paris. The latter joined the CA Montreuil and remained in the I Liga with the old name of Paris FC. The germanois kept PSG name but were relegated to the Third League. In 1973 the Club turned professional and in season 1973/1974 rose to the I League, in the season where Paris FC went down to Division Two .

Over the years he started coming regularly to the championship front seats. The first trophy would arrive in May 1982 with the conquest of the French Cup. PSG defeated AS Saint-Étienne in this final repeating the feat the following season, this time against Nantes. The first championship was won in the 1985-86 season, thanks to a team with many stars as Joël Bats, Safet Sušić, Luis Fernández and Dominique Rocheteau.

The year 1991 was remarkable for the club, which is now sponsored by the private channel Canal + television, as well as administration of Michel Denisot. They have made large investments in staff now being trained by the Portuguese Artur Jorge, whose aim was to recapture championship in three years, which was reached at the time 1993-94 with players like Brazilian Rai, Valdo and Ricardo Gomes, the Liberian George Weah and David Ginola French. In 1996 PSG started being coached by former player Luis Fernandez, and won the Cup Winners Cup winning to Rapid Vienna.
